Cotton, polyester, denim etc are all good materials for your kitchen chair cushions. So which to select will depend on your kitchen needs.• If you use your cushions everyday then you must buy cushions which are easily washable. So denim, cotton and polyester easily fit the bill. While cotton can fade out with subsequent washes denim and polyester often retain their look.• Silk though beautiful is not a practical material for cushions. They can absorb spills and are difficult to clean. So use them only when guests arrive.• Polyester, nylon etc do not fade easily but they retain heat and so are not good choices for summers. So in such cases pure cotton or a blend of cotton and polyester are good choices.
